Bella and I.

Today so far, could be described as a boring day...but I've been sucked into the pop culture of the vampire book series, Twilight. I'm a little over halfway done with the second one, New Moon, and despite the fact that it is very teen-romance-y-ish and chick-flicky in its pages, it also is extremely, um, eventful. Every so often, it can be wonderful to immerse oneself into a book that literally has significant changes within every couplet page's crease.

This Bella surely did move to what she imagined to be the most boring place ever, and discovered that it was exactly the opposite. I wonder if that can happen here, in St. Louis. I mean, this place can be pretty freaking repetitious in that ways that things go about. I get slightly annoyed at the usual drunk-fun gatherings of my peers. I want more available sober fun. Maybe if I move to Kansas City (which I've heard is a smaller version of St. Louis), maybe then I would run into fairies and fire-breathing dragons, or Clark Kent himself.

I do have a fascination with Chinese dragons. I was born in the year of the dragon...

I need to get out of the house before my mind fills with whimsical creatures.
I'm going running. Lol.

Catching Up...yay!

So today, I'm catching up.

I took my LAST final of the semester on Monday night (for THREE hours!!!) and now I'm finished until June something-th or another when summer classes begin. (I should check my e-mail, my professor already emailed me.) But yes, I am finally catching up on sleep and just about everything else. Today, I finished editing all the poetry on my flash drive, and now I have to hit two notebooks worth (of typing them into a word document for easier editing and keeping, then actually editing them, and then printing out the latest copy)of writing, but at least I've accomplished some.

I still have a decent list of things to do including apartment searching, fall class registration, and my website proposal (I'm typing it up so that those helping me have a better and more organizaed idea of my vision for it), but it's not that bad compared to usually when I have no time. Now, I don't mind haveing a million things to do, BECAUSE I HAVE THE TIME. This feels good. Guess I should go eat lunch.

WOW. I have the TIME to go sit and eat lunch.
ha.
yay!

4gothowprettytheriverfrontcanBw/out.ppl

So last night I had to drop my mother off in Forest Park for this soul/jazz/rnb concert thingy...and I'd originally planned to go to a café and do some homework, but after dropping her off, I drove around town instead.

First I drove through the Central West End, then headed towards SLU, then downtown.

I forgot that I even liked downtown.

I like it even more peering up at the tops of buildings through a sunroof...and because St. Louis doesn't have a HUGE downtown, its never overbearing looking at its sky from the pavement.

Then I drove down to the Landing, and while trying to avoid cobblestone (which messed up my last car, and I was now in my mother's car), I drove down to the riverfront. Yes, it is still a lot higher this year than it has been in the past, but not covering the steps of the arch like when it flooded in late fall.

And I took some pictures.

no, my iphone does not have a flash.

I'd forgotten how pretty the riverfront can be when its just there, without an event happening.
yep.

That was nice.
